@ChenierFan - so it's your fault that we lost the last 4 games. Come on. Step up and take one for the team.
...no more vacations in Hawaii for you. ;-)

Antawn is a unique talent in that he's the type playa that can get 20&10 starting or off the wood. However,I agree that if he wants to fire the guys up do it from the court.A lot of insecurity on the squad.Get rid of that and the sky's the limit

M2- thanx for the assist and agreeing that Javelle needs to play.I respect what Brendan brings but no way can we be all we can without J and Dre on the floor.Andray has matured enough to watch the youngsters back(along with Caron) and he's a natural at the 4 spot. The league is all about match-ups.Bottom line is only 5 guys on the floor at one time,if the (not so) Big 3 wants to show leadership one should come off the bench(and take Brendan with you) it would make us untouchable. On any other team in the league the youngsters would be ballin overtime. One Love!

The Reality:

We are a team with new players and a new coach and everyone is still trying to Gel.

The best basketball this team will play won't come until around allstar break. Hopefully heading into the break and not coming out of it.

Don't be so disapointed with our performance in the early going. We will be a %500 team the first half of the year and will kick it into gear the second half of the season.

Yes we will have some games where we look impressive like we did against Dallas but we will still have some games like we had against the Suns tonight.

We just have to deal with it.........looking for positives in each game..........knowing we will continue to improve

ToughLove is on the money in his assessment of Haywood's athleticism...
It's amazing to see the difference between he & McGee.
Haywood must watch McGee run around catching oops & just dream.
Haywood is a very particular type of center... A Hibbert... A Mutumbo type, etc.
Those are tough guys to have in a pick & roll.
Blatche has nice skills (a very nice skill set actually - always has) but his raw athleticism is questionable as well. Same with Oberto...
I guess what I'm saying is, McGee GROW UP ALREADY ;-) please get on the fast track!

The Good:

The defense has been solid

Blatche and Haywood are Blocking shots left and right and Oberto can't block shots so he just fouls people and I'm ok with that lol.

While we have been taking some horrible shots we also have been shooting pretty poorly from the field aside from dray and wood

Once our team Fg% gets up to normal if we continue to hold teams to shooting the 9th lowest percentage in the league we should win alot more games.

ANdray Blatche has done everything we have wanted him to.

Randy Foye has been fantastic.(half the time he looks better than Gil)

The D and the new aquisitions and the development of blatche were the main questions coming into the season for us to be sucessful and right now those questions have seemingly been answered.

Our cold shooting won't last forever.

The Bad:

Double digit # of shot attempts of 17 feet or more without having made a single pass every game and probobly just as many long jumpers with only one pass being made.

Mostly Gil and Caron and occasionally Foye.

Foye actually takes a few shots every game without a single pass having been made but they are mostly drives to the basket which attack the D and are not detrimental to the offense.

This is the primary reason why we are 2-5 and not 5-2

Someone should tell Caron Butler that these types of offensive possesions are like drinking mountain.

You have to have a flow to your offense. Driving, dishing, cutting, rotating the ball.

It keeps the Defense off balance allowing you to have chances at offensive rebounds and not allowing the defense to get out in trasition.

These guys need to understand that whatever shot looks good with 20 seconds still left on the shot clock will still be there after 4 or 5 passes.

Well, luckily we both (the wiz and the bloggers) have a day of rest tomorrow. They can work on some things and we can watch some Monday night football or whatever comes to mind. One thing is for sure, we can stop waiting on any one player to get back and work with what we have and build our foundation. We have good enough players at every position to win a game.

Let's do this :!: :!: :!:
