I'm a bit confused from the last couple of posts:

Why would the Thunder need a Center? They already have Krstic, who was a very good offensive center for the Nets before his 2 knee injuries and his stint in Russia before coming back to the NBA for a couple of months last season. Also, they have their "out of position" Center with Nick Collison, a player they kept from the Sonic days and is an "energy guy". Plus, they have Robert Swift - the 7-1 center with more tats than Cherokee Parks. The Thunder is going with a guard and his name is most likely James Harden. The Westbrook/Harden backcourt makes sense to me to compliment Jeff Green, Durant, and Krstic. I give the nod to Harden because he has more "meat" than Curry and he can more easily win the starter job away from Desmond Mason.

Why would the Grizzlies need a Point Guard? Didn't they draft Mike Conley, Jr. 2 years ago for that reason? Jaric is 6-7 but he handles the ball well (think of him as the Serbian version of Hedo). The more I look at the Grizzlies roster, the more I get confused on what they need. I mean, they don't need a Center if they trust Marc Gasol (who had a very good NBA rookie year). They don't need Harden or Curry if they feel that O.J. Mayo is doing a good job at SG. And they certainly don't need a SF because Rudy Gay is the only awesome player they have. If I were Memphis, I would put Curry highest on the list and then Thabeet next and then Harden. But, it seems the draft boards are pointing to Thabeet and the Grizzlies NBA blog has fans not having a darn clue. For reasons unexplained, the Grizzlies fans want Tyreke Evans.

The reality is that Harden will be gone by 6th pick and Curry will be gone by 9th pick.

I love this time of year. So many interesting rumors. So many things we could do at our spot.

I like the idea of drafting Harden, Curry, or maybe even Evans if we use the pick. I don't like the idea of Rubio, Hill, or Thabeet. Rubio maybe if Ernie is looking to "stash" and can find another way to free up a roster spot. I Don't want to give up the 2nd pick in the 2nd round. That's as good as a first rounder minus the salary guarantee. Dreams of Amare, Bosh, Lee, Miller all dancing around in our heads. What a great time of year.

David Lee only makes 2.7mil? Wow now That's a bargain! Why are they thinking of trading him. After all the brilliant Mr. Thomas is gone lol.

Floydbt... that would be a hard choice between Harden and Curry. Neal, Curry is a player a lot like his Dad and built pretty much the same. Harden has some beef to him. (actually he reminds me a lot of Gilbert). Harden and Curry both have good handles but Curry is more the pure shooter where Harden is a shooter/slasher.

Floyd, I'd love to have David Lee but the salaries aren't close. He's a restricted FA at $2.7M. James will make $6.5M and Songaila $4.5M. The only way to make that work is to talk the Knicks into a sign and trade deal such that they pay Lee within 15% of the total of the James and Songaila salaries. You willing to pay Lee that much AND give up the #5 pick?

That makes sense. Couldn't believe Thabeet could sink to 5. Most bloggers have favored Harden over Curry. Why? They are both SG's?
