@ Wizbulletman0

It doesn't make any sense for any of the top 5 teams to "guarantee" Harden a spot since we don't know what Memphis, the number 2 pick, is going to do. Memphis is the only team that can guarantee a draftee the #2 pick since the Clippers are not going to pass on Blake Griffin. With OJ Mayo starting at SG in Memphis, I doubt they'll draft Harden.

@ dmac

No. It is not a good idea to bring in Manu to the Wizards now. He is basically in the same situation as Jamison - a serviceable player that is making a lot of money but is getting up there with age.

I've basically boiled down my draft thoughts with the following:

If Harden is available at 5, draft him. If not, trade down a couple of slots and draft Curry. Otherwise, trade out of the lottery and draft TWilliams.

If the Wizards does draft someone in the first round, I'd say still draft someone in the second round. The 15 man roster doesn't have to be finalized until the end of October. This gives the team about 3 months to evaluate, move, cut, demote (to NBDL), and retain the players Grunfeld wants.

I would take a chance at Ty Lawson with the 32nd pick. He's proven to me that he can play at a high level even with a height disadvantage.

I'm traveling tomorrow -- will have to check out the video in the evening, and i'm very much looking forward to it. Should be a very interesting workout.

Aminu is a big guy from Georgia State. A mid-2d rounder to not at all on most boards, but he has good size, skills and intelligence. Could wind up a player.

Mullens is supposed to be a supreme athlete but doesn't have good basketball IQ or strong commitment.

It'll be fun to watch Evans and Harden go at each other. Apparently, Evans refused to work out against Terrence Williams in Sac'to last week, btw.
