2nd Round All Set

SportzWiz checking in… Well the 2nd round of the NBA playoff is all set and actually got underway yesterday with the Denver Nuggets knocking off the Dallas Mavericks. In case you haven’t heard the Atlanta Hawks beat the Miami Heat yesterday and on Saturday the classic first round matchup between Chicago and Boston came to an end with the defending champs pulling out the win.

On another note, a quick reminder to everyone to tune in to washingtonwizardsblog.com in just over two weeks (May 19th to be exact) for the NBA draft lottery. We will have a live blog of the event and possibly some more coverage for you guys as well.

At least until the finals, it looks like the best playoff series — Boston vs. Chicago — is over.

I expect the Celtics vs. Orlando series to be a snooze, no matter who wins.

I think the Cleveland vs. Atlanta series will be at least a little bit interesting, because the teams are so different — Atlanta will bring all those young, athletic, long studs — none of whom is all that exceptional a basketball player — and Cleveland will bring the best player in the game and a bunch of veterans.

Cleveland struggled with Atlanta in the regular season. SHould be interesting, but they are very tough at home.

If Houston can make it a half court game they could give LA trouble.

It will be interesting to see how boston plays after the layoff, and was the game without superman a springboard for orlando.

Im real interested in seeing the dallas-denver matchup. Kidd-Billups, Nowitzki-Martin, Melo-Howard. Some fun matchups in that series.
