Tuesday Morning Links/Info

SportzWiz checking in…sorry there was nothing new up on the blog yesterday, we had some videos to give you from post practice but we are having some issues right now, hopefully those will get resolved soon and we can post the links here in a little. Just a few little notes today for all the bloggers…

  • Dave Johnson wrote a nice article on the Wizards future and you can read that by clicking here
  • Yesterday, Darius and Pech went to a school where a fifth and sixth grade class did presentations on Lithuania and Ukraine as well as on the players. It was a pretty cool event, here are some pics from the event.
  • As you might have seen, the Wizards will be hosting their first ever telethon tomorrow during the Wiz-Cavs game. There will be some GREAT items available for Auction and there will be celebs on the other line taking your calls for the donation. All the proceeds are going to a great cause, the Capital Area Food Bank. Wizards Care’s goal is to provide 1 million meals for the capital area food bank this season.
  • Lastly, if you were still watching the title game last night in the second half, Antawn Jamison was at the game cheering on North Carolina with Vince Carter. Logistically it worked out pretty well for Tawn as the Wizards will practice today in Cleveland as Verizon Center is currently going through some preparations for the Frozen Four which starts on Thursday.

    SportzWiz Can you tell us what is available to bid on yet for tomorrow or tell us what celebrities will be taking phone calls tomorrow night during the auction

    we should have a list shortly, waiting on final confirmation on a few things. I know there will be some autograph game worn stuff but not 100% sure on everything quite yet.

    As soon as I have a list of stuff I will post it.

    Without looking at the LeBron video, I can tell you how I feel about the call. I feel that we won the game. We haven’t won a lot of games; I’m glad we got that one. :)

    Sportswiz — it’s *cheesy* to try to *sell* the pictures from events like the one pech and dsong did. Just let people download them if they want them. Is this some kind of nba rule or something?

    tom, you actually cant buy those specific pictures. The way the photo gallery is setup it automatically posts it there (no way to remove the buy link). To download them you can just right click and download it.
