Travel Day

Hey everyone SportzWiz checking in…Well it got a little too close for comfort last night, but the Wizards pulled out the win and as Antawn Jamison said after the game I’ll take an ugly win over a pretty loss everytime.

Tapscott told the players before the game yesterday, that a win would mean the day off today so the Wizards will not practice and will meet up this afternoon at the airport to fly to Salt Lake City for their game tomorrow against the Jazz.

As far as some fun content goes, we are going to try and have the players fill out NCAA brackets and will try to get those up in the next day or two so everyone can see who the team picks to win it all (i’m guessing Antawn Jamison might choose North Carolina and Caron Butler might pick UConn :) .)

Also, on Friday we shot the latest installment of Wizards overtime and as soon as that is loaded up I will post the link for that, in the video Dave and Glenn will let you know who they are picking to win it all.

So with the tournament on all of our thoughts, I figured we’d post a poll and I want to hear from you which #1 seed do you think has the best chance of winning it all?

I went to a little school in southwest Virginia called Radford University. For the second time in school history we are going dancing. As a reward for a great season, we have the pleasure of playing UNC on Thursday. I’m rooting for the Highlanders to upset UNC.

I figure if the Wizards beat the Cavs this season, Radford can beat UNC. Anyone else with me?

In any event, I’m so glad my school is in it, no matter how short lived it may be.

SportzWiz:

Is it true that Haywood has been cleared to practice?

brendan has been cleared for full contact practice, but there is no timetable on his return.

One of the biggest reasons for no timetable is usually guys have 4 to 6 weeks before camp to get there bodies in shape, then they have camp and preseason before the regular season, so because of the injury brendan hasn’t gone through a contact practice since mid-october.

Also, as Ivan noted the Wizards really won’t have a practice for another week because of their schedule (four games in five days means no practice on thursday or sunday)
