Agree... Wholeheartedly (with everything but turning the game off. Although I do watch with anxious temptation, I'm never quite able.)

I turned off last night's game mid-2d quarter; how much can a fan take? (It's on the DVR, so no doubt I'll go through it later today...)

M2 -- when we traded for Javaris, I couldn't see the reason why. Please allow me to eat my words. He is a legit young NBA point with a big upside. I'm glad we have him. You were right about him.

Javaris and JaVale had very nice games last night. The more we play them, the faster they'll develop. We're not going to win games on their backs this year, but along w/ Dominic and a top choice in June they are key to our future.

"I am NOT interested in Amare. We don’t need anyone else (where’s Waldo) who thinks that the team rises or falls depending upon them."

At the end of the day, co-sign!

Don't refrain...
Most of the game timers seem to listen live to the blogcast or whatever (I have the NBA package with my laptop on hand to see if any real banter is flying around on this site)...
I've learned to jump in & say hello & then see what's happening with folks after the game. I'm not that interested in, "good pass Caron" or "way to slam it McGee" comments while the game is on...
The best stuff on here is pre & post game.

No criticism of Blatche in that last post (although his Kwame Brown work ethic is easy to criticize)... I was just saying that we have 4 kids with less than 2 years experience (Blatche is young but has been in the play-offs for three seasons now... Hell, LeBron is twenty three). I'm more an experience guy...

I completely hope & pray that your assessment of him pans out. I'll be cheering with bells on as I clearly see his upside in one of every four games he plays.

I guess everyone simply fell asleep reading my last blog entry because it was so damn long. Sorry, I'll try to refrain myself in the future.

Watched the Wiz and then had to watch LeBronze get a fake call with .8 of a second on the clock and he made both to tie it. A pure BS call. Then with .4 of a second on the clock LeBronze fouled Granger on the same type of play. Granger made the first and intentionally missed the second and LeBronze went stomping off the court without so much as a nice game to anyone. BUSH LEAGUE! and this is what we want to represent the NBA????? Come on. I can think of many other players who would be better representatives for sportsmanship.

On to the Wiz vs. Hawks:
I guess that with Darius injured, McGee might get some serious minutes where he will be allowed to make some mistakes and learn. The man is a force. I wish that he wouldn't try to block every shot within twenty foot of his body, however. He picks up a lot of really bad fouls because he lets his man shoot and depends upon blocking the shot. I wish that he would spend more time getting defensive position so that his man had a harder time getting the ball at all. It would also help if our perimeter defense could stop someone from driving the lane and causing our big guys to try to defend both their man and the guy with the ball. McGee might be better off is he didn't try to block a single shot for a game, but concentrated on defending his man from getting the ball in a good position to score.

I feel very badly for Antawan because he plays so hard every night and Tap doesn't give the man any decent time to rest. It was obvious tonight that he was tired. His legs were not there. Without the legs, his shooting was off. That is not the way to treat our best offensive player. AJ played 39 minutes in a 21 point loss. Nice coaching Tap. CB and AJ, between them, played 80 minutes and shot 14/33 from the field (a little over 42%). The rest of the team was 19/41 (a little over 46% and that includes Dixon's 1/5 and Critt's 2/5).

Our lack of an offensive strategy was glaringly apparent tonight. On many possessions four guys watched while the man with the ball had to try to score. The Wiz are totally devoid of any offense except, "you've got the ball, try to make something happen". That is not a player lapse, it is a coaching deficency. Caron, Mike, Nick, Critt and Juan look bad sometimes because they have to create something without any help.

We have got the horses. We don't have a driver.

If we can really get Larry for Etan and Mike, I vote "GO FOR IT".

I am NOT interested in Amare. We don't need anyone else (where's Waldo) who thinks that the team rises or falls depending upon them.

M2, you are breaking my heart with your criticism of Blatche. He is a very good player being played out-of-position by a coach who apparently doesn't understand the basics of the game. He is the 3rd youngest player on the team. He has progressed nicely. He is a young guy who has to learn how to act and play as an adult. He needs some instruction (his shoooting has improved under Hoppla). I still maintain that bringing in someone like Zo to coach the big guys would make McGee and Blatche 100% beter.

Even though the schedule on the Wiz web site indicates that we played the Bobcats on Feb 11th, I am pretty sure that we've got them tomorrow (12th). Watch your backsides B'cats. We're angry about the loss to the Hawks and we're after you. Go Wiz!!!!
