Dominic is a *much* more productive player than Andray. But, you are right that Nick doesn’t compare to either of them. Dominic is a well above-average 3 in the NBA in total productivity. Andray is below average as a 4, and further below average as a 5.

You are right, however, that he is younger than both Dominic and Nick.Only Critt, Pech and JaVale are younger on the team.

I hope that Andray uses his time off the court wisely. He will benefit from a few weeks of not banging against NBA centers (one of which he is not!). His ankle and knee hopefully heal up fine.

While he’s waiting for that to happen he should be in the weight room every day with the trainers working on his upper body strength. If he was stronger up top he wouldn’t go to the rim soft so often and would finish a lot of 3-point plays.

As I’ve made clear here, I’m pretty unhappy with Nick’s development. There would be lots of ways for him to use his time to better learn the game, and it’s pretty obvious he doesn’t do it. Nick Young is going on 24; he is not a baby any more. Look at Dominic’s development and Nick’s lack of development.

As to JaVale, now his time will come to bear down, w/ Andray out for a while. Yes, he is a rookie and a kid — but I’ll remind you that Greg Oden is also a rookie, and they were born a few days apart. Oden is not a kid, however; he is a man.
