Too many times they just drove through us, and too many times we left shooters upon.

Apart from that they shot with confidence and we shot like we were afraid we were going to miss.

The Celtics are a terrific team. Pierce and Allen are outstanding but what makes them great is the glue provided by Garnett, Rondo and Doc Rivers.

I agree - it would have been an ideal game to give McGee extensive minutes.

dcbutler357, you are a funny person and showing your age...trying to slip Spencer Haywood (Washington 1980) past us as Brendan. Come on, while Spence would be an asset in his prime, I think that at 61 he might not be able to hack it...then again, he came to play! LOL!!

This is not to say that Brendan does not come to play. Quite the contrary, I think that, if healthy, Brendan would have made a tremendous difference in our W/L record.

Fellow Bloggers,

All I can do is just hope for better days. The only consolation is that we played the world champs. Without Gilbert and Spencer, at this point, we are worlds apart.

Keep the Faith

Beat the Cavs!!

This coaching staff kills the confident of young players. They don't know their roll. I watch poor McGee and he does not look like the same guy at the beginning of the season. They must have told him to run from basket to basket as fast as you can even though you're not going to get the ball. Oh don't worry about being tired because you're not going to play anymore. We are going to pull you in about a 1 min and if you want a shot get the rebound. That would be frustrating to any big man.

I'm a longtime Bullets/Wiz fan but I'm not going to another game until changes are made. I can handle losing if I see a plan to make them better but this group is clueless. Maybe I'm missing something. The answer isn't the young pups don't know the offense or defensive schemes. We went through that with the Saunders 800pg playbook. If it's that complicated it's not needed. Teach them the fundementals and let them use their God given talent to get us some wins.

I have been a Bullets\Wizards fan allof my life, and I can honestly say I remember when te Bullets and Wizards had some rough years, but at the very least thay had idenity. I have looked over this year and I honestly am not sure what we are trying to so on offense and defense? Coach Ayers, " What defense are you teaching?", Dave Hoopla, " Are you sill working with the team on shooting?" I have a long list of questions for Coach Tap so I will not other to post (to long) I understand that we had Gil and Haywood out, but I am sure that this team is better than 6 wins without them, and I tought leaps and bounds ahead of OKC! Hey Coach Thompson, would you still like to Coach in the NBA? How about coming to the Wizards and coaching defense?

dcbutler: to your point here is what we were at the half vs Boston:

Time January 2, 2009 at 8:48 PM

Young and Dixon are both 2\3 from the field and both played less than 5 min in the 1st half, please help me with the logic w\ DSteve out? Jamison at the half 15 shot attempts (4\15) so far no one else on the team with more than 6 attempts (Mike James 2\6) we need team play from the vets, ball movement and you have to play Juan and Nick and not Javaris (nothing against him) but Juan and Young can get there shot and in spot minutes are playing well.

That's the whole point. The LEADERS are not setting the example for the youth to follow. How are the youth to get better if the "all-stars" are jacking up shots when-ever and how-ever they deem necessary. We don't need them to "take over" the games, we need them to play team ball and not "try" to win it on their own, because every one knows that they can't. Not a bad thing, but it is what it is. Ok, time to move on...
