That is an amazing work of art! It always amazes me how they do that.

That is kind of scary. It definitely falls into the uncanny valley.

Did you guys hear what Gil said?….
I kinda agree, If we arent gonna make the playoffs its better for us to finish in last place and get a shot at a future star player. He stated that the Spurs did that and they got Tim Duncan..and look at them now..
SO….
What do you guys think..
If we arent going to make the playoffs should we just lose on purpose…
Btw…. I HOPE that Memphis can get us our pick this year..it would be great to have 2 1st Rounders…we can get one a PF and a PG…We already have Nick at SG and JaVale at C for the long run!!!!

The thing is the Wiz are not trying to lose, I see guys playing hard and (especially the Atlanta game) comming up short. The problem with this statement is that its comming form Gil, the guy we paid a truck load of money to move us past the 1st round. Him saying this is sort of a slap in the face of guys like Antwan,
Caron and Brendon, because without Brendans injury, this core group of guys played their butts off last year. Guys were hurt and tired but they did it. The answer is not always in the draft. Look at Boston and Toronto these teams got better through free agents, we paid our money to the guy who says “lets lose, so that we can win” What kind of crap is that?

Didn’t a coach in the NFL get fined for a similar statement?
Anyway it’s just Gil, he says lots of stuff. If he wasn’t sitting courtside every single game a statement like that might worry me. But he is rehabbing like a fiend, goes to practices and goes to games. I really doubt he’s serious.
It really just goes to show how bad things are for the Wizards right now. The injuries are worse than last year at this point. Eddie said it best when he said (roughly), “Juan is starting. Juan backs up Antonio and Antonio backs up Gil. That says it right there.” Clearly these losses are hitting the team hard and it takes a mental toll.

Why would the Wizards endorse this? This is the guy that said they should LOOSE the whole season? The people who agree with that mindset are obviously people who have not purchased tickets for this season, or, plan on ever attending a game.
So, those of you without any business sense and obviously only watch sports on TV, basketball is a business. There are sponsors who pay HUGE dollars and fans who pay even more from their personal revenue to attend the games. That money is lost and pulled if the Wizards self destruct. And for you arm chair basketball fans, what makes you think Gilbert won’t be the first one traded/cut? The Wizards will be forced to cut him because of this kind of unprofessional behavior. He is paid to represent the Wizards, not instigate their own destruction.
The rest of us would loose our jobs with a “Let’s loose this year and not give a darn about any of our investors”. The Wizards were a play-off team for the past few years. That is what people invested a lot of money into. Gilbert should to be fined and apologize to the fans) who pay so much to be involved with the Wizards. And as far as that wax doll, it should be melted into candles so at least a real fire can be burned since Gilbert lost his flame some time ago.
The two players that actually matter to this team deserve to be in the wax museum for all time: Antawn Jamison and Carron Butler.
