i dont blame turnovers on the coach. i blame etan thomas on the coach. that guy is useless. he isn't rebounding well, he misses layups, he doesnt protect the paint. the heat went on 10-2 runs to start the game and to start the 3rd quarter. THOMAS NEEDS TO RIDE THE PINE!

“well if you want to know why he is still the head coach is because with out him Gill is gone no matter what you say if you dont think so ask him he will tell you first hand that was part of his contract that EJ remain head coach and how you guys could blame stupid turnovers on a coach is crazy..” - - W4L

Maybe I missed something, but (GOSH!), I sure HOPE NOT!! It’s a shame that certain people hold themselves back from saying what they really wanna say about this coach...I know 1-7 is hard, but who’s he gonna blame next(?) – the rim; the mascot(s); how bout the tiny dust-bunnies on the floor. All I gotta say is: Where Flip [Saunders] at??

Having not missed a Wizards game in six years (in person, TV, or radio), I can say with some degree of certainty: Same old, Same old.

The most pathetic part of tonight's nonsense was EJ's post game interview where he said that this team was built to accommodate Gilbert Arenas and Antwan and Caron and (essentially) until Gilbert gets back we should not expect much more than we are getting. I guess the long layoff gave EJ sufficient time to draft a response to an anticipated loss to the Magic that might reflect the blame from him. IS HE KIDDING! The most important thing that Gil adds to this offense is the fact that he ignores it.

Once again, with the exception of a couple of backdoor cuts and a few alley-oop attempts, the Wizards offense is still throw a few passes and whoever has the ball with under 6 seconds on the shot clock is on his own to create something. I can understand the frustration that CB, AJ, DS, JD and also Slick and AB must feel. It's only a matter of time until McGee starts to feel it.

Only Juan and Darius showed any element of hard-nose defense tonight. Everone else runs around hoping that their athleticism will make up for being out of position, or that they can make a spectacular steal. Playing a "Collapse and Recover" defense against a team that can shoot like the Magic (and most NBA teams) is suicide...Maybe EJ is really a kamikaze and is willing to take the team down with him. As a fan who pays top dollar for seats to home games, I'm not willing to continue to support that type of coaching.

With about three exceptions, the rotations tonight were as horrible as ever. I really love the fact that other coaches can get key players extra rest by taking them out with under 2 minutes left in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters. EJ went with CB and AJ to the very end of the 3rd quarter when it was evident to everyone except the Wizards coaching staff that the extra rest would be beneficial. BTW, their presence on the court resulted in "0" points for the Wizards.

Has anyone on the coaching staff noticed that we are NEVER ahead with Etan is in the game. EJ starts him and we are losing by about 10 at the end of the 1st quarter; without ET we close the gap by the half...SO, EJ starts ET for the second half and the gap widens again. It's hard to keep making up for "Hands of Stone". When we finally get a new coach, perhaps we can buy-out ET's contact. I can't imagine any team wanting him and he is a negative to the Wizards.

Finally, why is EJ unable to understand that when you are losing a fairly close game very late in the 4th quarter YOU MIGHT WANT TO INTENTIONALLY FOUL and see if you can score off some misses. Tonight (as usual in these situations) with over two minutes remaining and still having a chance at a victory, the Wizards allowed the Heat to run 20+ seconds off the shot clock twice by just standing and looking at the heat player with the ball. Maybe the intent is to keep the margin of loss down...I just don't get it...BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY EJ IS STILL THE WIZ HEAD COACH. Good Lord, nasty Avery Johnson is available. EJ is 197-221 with the Wizards. That's a .471 winning percentage. With that record he's the longest tenured coach in the Division! What's wrong with the Wizards brass?

Now that i got that out about the fans, i'm goin on the team! We need help, bad! You can look in Eddie's face and see that he doesn't believe in the product that he has on the floor. I know we have injuries but that's no excuse. Yea, i was the one who use to tell people if you take the top player off of any team, they will struggle too, just like Miami last year. but this is bad. But i try to look at everything in a positive sense. At least we were in the game at the end this time as opposed to the last game. Maybe this year we are meant to be in the lottery to draft Blake Griffin or somebody like that. Who knows. I'm gonna stop typing now because i'm not really saying what i really want to say. I don't even know what i want to say, i'm so pissed right now! I'm out.

I just left the game and it was a sad sight! One thing that really gets to me is how quiet the Phonebooth is during the game. Even if the Wiz don't give us nothing to cheer about, we need to lift them up some kind of way. In the past two weeks i have been to a Redskins, Caps, and hoyas game and at every game the crowd was electric. And the team feeds off of it. But at the Wizards games, it is silent except in the nose bleed section. We need to stick behind our squad. People still cheer for the redskins when they SUCK! why can't they do it for the Wiz!? I'm tired of being the only person losing his voice in my section. The only thing that made me happy tonight was having Serena Williams sit right in front of me.
