Still time left here in Virginia to go vote! Go out and create change!

Have not been on the blog in a long while. Love the changes! Amazing work going on here.

As to the play the first two games, I am thinking it isn’t too bad. The Piston’s game was fairly solid and pretty good considering it is early in the season. Two things really stood out to me and bet they have been mentioned, but here we go:
1.) Nick Young. If he can get up to 4 assists a game, I think something magical will happen. This would seem like a small increase, but if he is passing the ball it means he is paying much closer attention to the entire floor. This will make him much more dangerous.

2.) Noticed that McGee did not play against the Pistons and I am not sure why, though this does match Coach Jordan’s usual reluctance to alter what is going on instead of going to match-ups. I think that as this kid and Etan get into the flow it will be interesting to see if Jordan will start thinking about this at the end of the game. I remember how long it took him to trust Brendan to be in there at the end of the game.

3.) On the subject of Coach Jordan, he needs to cut the minutes of Jamison and Butler and do it quick. Even if it is 2-3 minutes less, it would be a great thing. He needs to start managing minutes a bit more wisely. Also, if the last game was any indication, I think it would do AD some good to shave a few more minutes off for Juan Dixon. Possibly Dee Brown is in that mix, don’t know.

Anyhow, it’s just a game. Voting=priceless!

I’m from MD, but I’ve been doing get out the vote sunday, monday, and today. I think I knocked on 75 doors and put flyers on 150 doorknobs. Thanks to everyone who voted. I love the enthusiasm we have here!

Andray has a pretty good Dominic impersonation.

If McGee starts i would love it. I could not stand that small lineup against the pistons. While it spread the floor on offense, man did it kill us on D and rebounding. I think if you matched McGee up with wallace, he would be able to disrupt his jumper that he willingly shot over songaila.

the pistons game was a real clear indication of good this team can really be, but we can easily lose the close ones if we dont focus more on D. it seems like the last 3 years we here that the wiz will be more defensive minded and every year we are let down. how can coach EJ be serious about D when he kills us defensively by going with that small line up of Dsong & jamison down low? it spreads the floor on offense but kills us on D especially when jamison is shooting 1-7 from beyond the arc. why is he shooting so many 3s??? here are the keys to the wiz winning games with or without gil and haywood

1) start nick young over deshawn. Nick young is the best scorer on the team and the whole preseanson up untill new jersey our offense has been terrible. he is not as good defensively but has shown major improvement.

2) limit jamison to 3 shots from beyond the arc per game unless he hits 2 of those three because his 3 pointer % is killing this team. plus he is the best rebounder and when he shoots from 25 ft. out he takes himself out of range to rebound.

3) get mcgee in the damn game! he can be the best big man this team has had in a LONG time and he will never learn to get out of making those rookie mistakes he made a couple of times. he cost you a bucket or two a game because of it but he’ll learn by being on the floor.

4) get AD out of the damn game! no he wont give you many turnovers, but he wont give you much of anything else either. dee brown looks good, dixon looks even better. why is AD seeing so much time?

5) the front office needs to make a move. get something good out of jamison and AD. maybe a carmelo type player. that would do wonders for this team. or maybe a power forward who is actually powerful.

6) and last but certainly not least, stop waiting for gil to get back. he has not been a reliable part of this team for the last 3 years. the team out there is the team indefinitly. thats needs to be the mind set.

Just got back in from voting, glad to see the board jumping! McGee, McGee, McGee is all I have to say, I am more than positive he will get some run on Wed. I love the way our bench has played, and our starters have been good at times and at times sluggish. I would like to keep DeShawn as a starter and keep Nick on the bench, I like Nick being agressive and a go to gut off the bench as for right now at least. Dixon played well and I would like to see Dee get on the court as well, D Song maybe should split some time with Pesh, got to see what we have in the 7 footer with 3 point range.

I think everyone is voting for McGee on Wednesday.

maggicman11, AD is here to stay. He is good for the team. Watch him closely. Until Gil gets back AD will start. I appreciate a lot of what you’re saying but we need to play more games before we start calling the season. Darius at center for that long was an experiment that obviously didn’t work. If it was that obvious to us, it was even more obvious to Eddie.

Lets think about trades next season. We’ve got stuff to work with here we don’t need to start making rash decisions because we lose a few games.

Juan and Nick should be rewarded for their excellent play. Though Nick needs to watch those fouls, an indication that he still needs to focus more on defense.

GlingGling… “if it was that obvious to us, it was even more obvious to Eddie”. Alas were that only true.

If history over his tenure here is any indicator Eddie loves his small ball. And if history is any indicator it always Kills Us. lol. Hopefully we won’t see it for the last half of the 4th period anymore, but, it isn’t going anywhere. Coach likes his small ball.

I don’t know who else would be in favor of this, but, until “those certain” players emerge I’d kinda like to see a 12 man rotation. We have a lot of bigs that either need to make a name for themselves or ride the pine. A few of them need to step up. If they all do we will be unbeatable. I know pipe dream, but, it’s not really that far away from reality. If Etan can’t go tomorrow that’s going to be tough. He is our only experianced big.

Our guard play has been pretty darned good so far and they all seem to be fairly interchangable. A few different looks at guard wouldn’t hurt us and may find us a winning duo?

Caron is going to have to have another all-star season. We are very thin at the 3. Dominic…. oh Dominic… your big chance Bud. I’m betting he comes through.

I’ll bet Eddie starts JaVale against Bogut.

ok another pipe dream. The bucks have no big point guards. Start Javale against Bogut and start Dee against whoever. That could get interesting quick. Especially offensively.

The time seems to be fouled up — probably needs to be updated for the end of daylight savings time.

Barack won. I don’t know that I ever believed that a day like this would come, and it has. I am so thankful to be a witness to a moment like this. I’ve been making calls for the campaign to Pennsylvania, and we won the state. I’ll take credit! :)

Happy day.

Congratulations to President Obama and to his supporters who worked hard for him. My 18 year old son voted for the first time today, and was down in Grant Park for the rally. He said it was the most amazing thing he’s ever been part of. I’d love to hear how DC is reacting!

First of all , CONGRATS TO PREZ BARACK OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coach Jordan needs to put Blatche in the starting line up at center (until Haywood gets back), now I’m gonna tell you why. Blatche would develop quicker playing with the vets (AD, Caron, Jamison, and Stevenson) I think they would take some pressure off him and help minimize his mistakes. He would also give them more of a scoring punch than Etan does. I know they want and need to focus on D’ but the O’ is kinda sluggish. And last they need to get him away from Nick Young. Don’t get me wrong I like Nick’s game but, him and Blatche on the court at the same time usually ends up in turnovers, bad shots, and dumb fouls. Blatche has skills and I would love to see him take it to the next level in a Wizards uniform.
