Gilbert Arenas is the man. He’s an asset to the Wiz and the entire NBA and I am so happy he is a Wizard, he’s easy to root for.
Seems the injury and over-training has taught Gil a lesson that will prolong his career and I believe it will be a great career from here on out. Good luck Gil and way to represent.

I’m guessing Milwaukee isn’t going to offer him a spot on their team anytime soon?

Numbers guys this is where I fall very short and need help. Denver just traded Camby to the Clippers so the 2 of them could exchange 2nd round draft picks next year or the year after or whatever. I though If you traded for a player you had to lose a player with an equal contract. What am I missing here guys? There was a similar trade go down shortly after the free agency period started but for the life of me I can’t remember who was involved.

Somehow we need to trade switched 2nd round picks and get Dwight Howard?

I’m no #s guy either Grif, but according to the telecast if a team is under the cap like the Clippers, the saleries do not have to match.

The Nuggets got a $10m trade exception in addition to the right to switch picks. The exception equals Camby’s salary this year, but why/how you can make this kind of deal, and where the exception comes from (did the clips already have it? how does a team get one?), I don’t know.

The nuggets have one year to use the exception, otherwise it goes away. What does “use” mean, I wonder? A trade in which the nuggets take a 10m player and give the exception for it? Then, is the exception extended for the team that gets it? Complicated stuff.
