IMO Detroit is going to take the east i think the Cavs are going to lose to the C’s but i don’t think the C’s have enough playoff exp. to get past Detroit in the west its like a toss up no one seems to be that much better than the other but if i had to guess i would say LA if Kobe is OK if not the Spurs and i think the pistons take the championship because the west is a hard road and the pistons should be rested

lakers win vs jazz
hornets win vs spurs (CMON!)
then lakers win vs hornets

celtics beat cleveland
detroit beats magic (~)
then celtics beats detroit

finals -> lakers beat celtics

but…mh..dunno.

I have the lakers as champs after beating the celtics and previously the hornets (no such thing as love for the spurs here ;) ).

If Kobe’s back is ok, the Lakers will be hard to beat.

I don’t understand what’s going on w/ the Celtics — Ray Allen & Paul Peirce just don’t seem to be playing playoff basketball. Still, I think they’ll squeak by the Cavs. But… will they beat Detroit? I don’t know.

If the Lakers do make it to the championship series, they look good to beat either Detroit or Boston. They would certainly flatten Cleveland.

I am still recovering from wizards vs Cavs series, I hate Cavs, I hope Celtics will beat them, but Celtics is only team who hasn’t won the away playoffs game yet in this season. they had to go to Game 7 with Hawks. in order to win Cavs, Ray Allen & Paul Pierce have to stand up in Cleveland.

I think NBA final: Spurs Vs Detroit/Celtics. Spurs will win in Game 6

FYI, “Flip Saunders, you are fired” after this season. hahaha

Paul Pierce is hurt but he’s not telling the media. It is easy for me to tell because his usually dependent “going left” move is completely gone from his arsenal during the Cavs series. I think PP hurt something severe during the Atlanta series and he’s been playing like a liability since coasting through the regular season.

As for Ray Allen, I wonder if it has to do with his off the court issues pertaining to his family. His stepdad was targeted to be murdered and somehow, the other side is all in Ray’s business even though he is 100% not involved. Ray’s mom and stepdad are in the witness protection program.

I don’t think Flip’s going to get fired if the Pistons make the Finals. I understand that expectations are always high in Detroit, but there is not another viable coach right now that could maintain all the veterans in that team other than Flip. You have to get someone like Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, or Larry Brown to get the most out of the current Pistons.

wizfusion no doubt a young coach would get eaten alive by that pistons veteran roster.

Wow, I did not know that about Ray Allen. How horrible for him, and I can see how it would affect his concentration. But they just HAVE to beat the CAVS! Please please please beat the Cavs… I hate them so much!

Here’s an article from Boston Herald on Ray Allen’s issue:

I learned about the whole thing from watching E:60, a “sports reporters” show on ESPN last night. It was either a sports show or the finale of “Beauty and the Geek”.

All I know is that I’m rooting for Utah now because I love Deron Williams’ game. I really don’t think he has any flaws. Also, as much as it hurts me to say being a huge Terps’ fan, I really do love Boozer’s game. Watching the Lakers’ though is kind of scary considering that Bynum is out and they’re still playing this well. I can’t stand to see them this good especially after that bs trade they pulled off for Gasol. These trades in the NBA need to work like fantasy leagues and be voted down if they’re that ridiculous, haha.

Deron Williams is a very good player, but he does have one flaw …

Other than letting Gil score over him (wch was not a flaw to us Wiz fans!), Deron Williams only has one flaw — being drafted one pick before Chris Paul, who looks like he may turn out to be one of the best, maybe the best, point guard ever.

That means that every time you talk about Williams, you want to say “yeah, but he is not as good as Chris Paul.” Kind of a drag…
