i think he is trying to get outa the way an let the guys do what they do he knows the game and what it takes to win and i think he knows he cant help an he might be hurting them

Also, what’s up with Gil?? Dude, what up with you; the knee is understandable, but what you gotta shut things down for? Look, I’m tired and kinda cranky right now; been doing work all day and at my campus on weekends developing photos (for photography class) and editing video for another class…I’m tired, but never too tired for you. I, for one, appreciate your dedication to the game, team and fans. Just don’t forget about that double-cheese burger I owe you

i feel pretty good about gil sitting out the rest of the playoffs. although I’m a HUGE gilbert arenas fan, i respect his decision to stay out and rest the knee as oppose to play and possibly cost the team a loss.

I love Gil, but he is obviously not himself, and he needs to rehab the knee. It’s fair to wonder whether he will *ever* be the same player he was.
It doesn’t hurt us in the playoffs for him to sit. He didn’t play in our two wins, and I think his play *cost us* the win in game 4.
Everybody here is a Gilbert Arenas fan — it’s hard not to be, as he is such a wonderful player and such a wonderful, goofy guy. Here’s hoping he gets that knee back and that we watch him for another 10 years!

its sad to see him call it off for the year which is the best decision for him. i mean all of us wants to see him in his explosive form which he hasn’t been since his return. i know our team can play without gil. we will miss his play. maybe he’ll come back if we advance on our way to the finals?! haha dont be surprised. the wizards should win the series for gilbert and abe!!!
