Practice Update

UPDATE ON ANTAWN JAMISON
First off let me say this is good news, but Antawn is doubtful for Friday vs. Miami. He had x-rays and an MRI and both came back negative. It is also a good time in the schedule in that the Wizards do not have games on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Therefore he could take off the next two games and have 6 days of rest before the Wizards game next Wednesday vs. Boston.

Just got back from practice here are a few quick updates.

Head Coach Eddie Jordan missed today’s practice becauuse he was sick. This was not a surprise as Coach O’Koren spoke for him during the pregame interview with the media yesterday. He is expected to be back tomorrow for the game.

Onto player news.

Gilbert Arenas did not speak with the media but Coach O’Koren said that he went through a full practice today and did not experience any soreness which is very good news. O’Koren expects Arenas to play tomorrow.

Antawn Jamison and DeShawn Stevenson both sat out practice and they will be reevaluated later today and tomorrow. It looks as though Stevenson will return to the court faster than Jamison, with Stevenson possibly playing tomorrow night after spraining his right ankle yesterday.

Jamison is going to be evaluated by doctor’s later this afternoon and as soon as we are given more information regarding his injury we will post it here

If you have any questions please post them and I will do my best to give you whatever information I might have.

i know deshawn will suck it up and play with his hurt ankle. he’s already playing with other injuries. but for jamison, shoulder injuries can be pretty bad. remember when gil had it and it bothered his shot for a while. and not to mention when dawayne wade had it which really affected him last season. so i hope jamison is ok. but if we dont need him tomorro which we shouldn’t, he should just rest. as for caron? how is he?

Yeah, how is Caron? Also, do you think the Wiz in any way will protest at all about the last 1.1 seconds? It looked like the clock didn’t start on time.

this is not good. we don’t need our players fighting injuries in the playoffs, and during the season. deshawn and twan are the two biggest pieces to our success this year along with caron. deshawn should start to keep his brett favre going lol and then let nick play at the two for the rest of the game. gil and AD are still suffering so they should equally split time with roger at point. blatche and songaila can carry the load at the 4. but these are some very key games coming up including boston and detroit, not to mention orlando and philly. but every games must be won at this point. Happy be-lated birthday deshawn! welcome back gil… i dont like seeing him driving to the hoop

Good new about both guys, and how is Caron? Congradulations to Antwan on the Sportsmanship award, this guy has been awesome this season on and off the court and has been the glue keeping this team in the hunt. I hope they all get rest and are prepared for the playoffs, whoever we play.

Yeah the clock startong running when Simmons got the ball
I think it’s impossible to get a pass and shot in 1.1 seconds

im sorry this happened but this is the second time deshawn and twan hurt each other, they really go hard out there. ne way i hate the bucks. they don’t belong in the league. nobody cares about them other than lou alcinder, ray allen, glenn robinson and redd they sucked. imma find me a bounty for the bucks cause they are trying to take us out. and will someone get them a new look. their jerseys have always been superugly! not talent wise, but their just like the spurs boring!!!!!!!!

to be real about it AJ needs a rest and needed one along time ago but never took one its a ruff time for us but at the end of the day this might just help us more than it hurts us… AJ had this team on his back 90% of the season let the guys climb off and CB3 and Agent 0 can take the load for a game or too i mean we got 2 games of teams on the outs in the playoffs…. then we got the big boys we need to put them on there butt for the 3rd time and show them what the Wizards can do
