Tough Juice
Just take your time and do what the medical staff and trainers say and
hopefully everything will be ready for the playoffs. We really donot need
you to come play right now because the youngsters are just now finding
themselves. I see you more of a coach and motivation speaker right now
until all your pain is gone. Stay Tough and Stay Real Peace!!!!

Terrible news... but as great a player as CB3 is, I'd rather have him back in FULL health, than coming back 1/2 way and causing more harm to that hip than help to the team. This may be an extremely unpopular opinion... but maybe the injuries are a good thing for the team. Sure we'd all like to have Caron and Gilbert back, but this should also make the bench rise up and start earning their keep. Players like Roger Mason, Andre Blatche, Nick Young, Antonio Daniels, etc... really need to learn to come in the game and play as if they're already starters. I know we're talking about the possibility of the playoffs looming, but this is GUT CHECK time, and dammit, it's time for our bench to start checking their guts for real. I get soooooooooooooo frustrated with the lazy passes, and careless turnovers!!! I can only imagine how Coach J feels. And watching Antwan Jamison on the floor night in and night out leaving it all on the court, without getting the type of support he deserves from the bench drives me nuts!!! Good thing I'm not the coach, because they would NEVER be able to mic me up. I mean, yes we beat the Hornets twice, and I'm happy about that. But in between those wins we lose to a Yao Mingless Houston Rockets team. A team that we should be able to compete with... especially with a 40 y/o center starting. No offense to Dikembe... who I absolutely love and respect, but COME ON BRENDAN!!!!!! You HAVE to show up for a game like this!!!! You are almost 1/2 this man's age, and almost the same height. NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay... I'm stepping off my soapbox for the night. I will pray that someone who needs to read my tirade (hint... hint... BRENDAN... and the Wiz Bench), and will heed to the message. YOU'RE ALL PROFESSIONALS!!! FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME... START PLAYING LIKE IT>>> NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT!!!

GO WIZARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it sucks, but someone needs to lose their job, namely TRAINER AND DOCTOR. how many times have we heard this year that someone was cleared too early and they extended their injury? rushing the flexor could have absolutely been the cause of the cartilage tear. it is a fact that injured ligaments and muscles are almost always the cause of cartilage tears. gil was cleared too early, as well.

i also agree with the earlier statement of giving the core guys a little more rest during games. plus you don't want bench players that you believe in to get rusty. get dom the bomb and company in to relieve these guys a little more often.

Agent0 we have been down 2 players all season and now 3. Don't forget Etan. And that on a roster of 13 players. With EVERYONE healthy we still only have 13.

Gotta agree with you Chenier Fan. To determine the extent of Butler's injury would have only required an MRI. Oh, and someone that knew how to read it. I had forgotten about Gil's shoulder thing! I was probably thinking too much about how they were in his knee with the scope and missed a stress fracture? I felt sorry for poor old Jarvis Hayes and still do. Although he seems to be pretty ok these days. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Gilbert seek a second opinion from a non Wizards doctor and that doctor is the one that found the damage the second time plus the stess fracture?

With some of the best hospitals and Teaching hospitals around that simply isn't acceptable. I've got the name of a very good orthopedist who specializes in sports medicine? Caron call me LOL.

Count me among those who question the quality of the Wizard's medical staff.

Let's see... Hayes' knee was supposed to get better with rest. Whoops, he needs surgery. No, he needs two surgeries on the same knee. He loses three years of his career. Last year Gil runs into Reuben Patterson and spends three weeks struggling with his shot because of a sore shoulder before a chiropractor puts it back in place - finally getting him relief. That delay in fixing Gil's should cost us some games last year. At the end of last year the team (as I blogged last November) must have hired Dr. Nick to fix Gil's knee. How did that work out? This year he needs more surgery on the same knee. Who knows if Gil will come back as good as new. Now, Butler spend a month out of action with "soreness" in his hip. Now it looks like something worse that should have been treated right away.

I don't know what type of lame HMO program Abe has the team on, but it's ruining players' careers and season after season for the team.

Man am I blown. As already previously stated above, it's true that they'll only be good if everyone is healthy. Just when you thought that everyone's getting better, and with Gilbert coming back soon(hopefully), everything would be getting to be how it was, but now, we lose 2 players, even if one still comes back. Basically, we have been one Wizard short this entire season. In a way it is good, because it gives the other guys a chance to play, which helps bring more confidence to the team. We have the lowest bench minutes in the league. We need to start playing more guys, opening up more opportunities to other guys we may never see if they don't get any playing time.

Stay strong guys..we gonna the ball rolling soon. Playoffs, here we come!
