Damn, how come Howard’s going back, they didn’t want the rim down last year neither are they gonna this year… Anyway too bad for Nick I’m sure he got some killer dunks…

kinda too bad. I hope he works hard to get into the rookie / sophomore game. I’m rooting for you nick. I hope you get into that game, show people your game and show people your dunks. That way you, Caron, Antawn and Gil could possibly represent. Every one of you is close to making those games but aren’t necessarily locks. Kill every single second you are on that court just to get to play in that game…

OT: where can I get the DVD second chance season. I can’t find it anywhere but I would buy it and support the cause.

OOT: tell Hopla the comments page on his blog isn’t working I think

If he continues to play at a high level he will get more minutes. The more people that see his game the more they will want him in the Slam Dunk contest. Probably next year.

I’m with you Bruce! I’d love to see him in the rookie game. He could almost make a name for himself there.

I imagine he will be in the rookie/soph game; I don’t see why not, as he is playing a lot for a rookie and not doing horribly (he gets a C+ from me).

I’m glad he’s not in the dunk contest; I want him thinking about the game of basketball and all the team disciplines and efforts he needs to improve at — rather than about individual stuff and athleticism.

I disagree with you Tom on Nick not being invited to participate in the dunk contest.
The dunk contest is a skills competition and there is something wrong in the selection process if Nick is not invited. The Wizards organization should protest his being left out. Josh Smith when he won the contest continued to better his overall basketball game.
In fact he is in the running for the most improved player of the year even though Dwight Howard will probably win the award.
With the success of the first half for the Wiz the all star game is all about having some fun and enjoying the players in the all of the all star activities.

Well put dmac. Plus Nick dunked on LBJ the next day in his house.
