RADIO DAZE
8:00 AM… Dave Johnson back and set for a busy weekend. First and foremost our thoughts and prayers have been with Etan…the team will release updates when it can… Busy weekend of back-to-back pre seaosn games. The game in Philadelphia Sunday will be on RADIO scheduled now for AM 570 and will be on the internet and once again we will be blogging as we go BLOGCAST…. so spread the word and join the party if you can. I am just looking for continued improvement on defense. The Cleveland game was not just about blocks and steals and stats but I just liked how active we were on defense as a team

Dave the Wizkids defense was tenacious throughout all four quarters but what impressed me most was when second unit of Stevenson,Mason,McGuire,Blatche and Songalia came in and toke over!This mindset from our most important bench is something we never ever had!The team still likes 3-ball so we still are exciting even though we only made 35% so theres need for improvement there!Every player needs to start making 200 freethrows before they leave practice because that one stat remains a issue.The team only shot 80 attempts from field so we weren’t jacking up shots but making high percentage rhythm jump shots so lets keep it under 80 because when we don’t it tells me the game is only offfensive and no defense at all! Finally the starters seem to get the message and that is Turnovers are a team killer and that is the only thing that needs to be said about that!Finally the Big Three look healthy and are leading the team the right way by not turning the ball over and utilizing the Princeton principles to make opportunities to score and defend with discipline and precison!

The last blog was incorrect I meant Daniels,Mason,McGuire,Blatche and Songalia for our second team unit which took over the game.Stevenson was on my mind for some reason but he will show his true wealth in this game against Dallas with his tenacious defense on there Hot player!

Well I guess there won’t be any broadcasting since it’s not on the schedule ( http://www.nba.com/wizards/news/preseason_radio_071012.html ) . I’m gonna wait on the NBA website to see if there’ll be any “audio league pass” possibility.

Dave, is there a place where we can send cards, best wishes, etc to Etan, or conversely does he have a favorite charity to which we can make a donation in his name as a way of sending him our regards? I would suggest either or both of those be put up on the main website. Tnx.
As to the Cleveland game, it is nice to be able to talk about the team’s defense and not grimmace when doing so!
