9:30AM….Greetings again from Indiana…team about to head out shoot around…looking forward to seeing it for real..Antawn Jamison said yesterday the bench this year should win four or five games…..all set for the blogcast on  SportsTalk 980 and the Washington Wizards radio network…and washingtonwizards.com….hope you can join in and my partner Glenn Consor will be wth me tonight as well….I will check back after the shoot…dave

12:43 PM…spread the word ..we will be blogging during the radio broadcast…..Pacers avearged 110 points per game in pre-season..a 180 fromRick Carlisle’s offense….Jermaine O’Neal and Troy Murphy are not listed in the startinglineup because of injuries…check back later…Quiznos is calling my name.

3:40pm….Getting set to go to the Arena…..will have news about team captains at the start of the blogcast at 7:00PM…

6:ooPM…Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler are team captains….Word is thet Troy Murphy and Jermaine O’Neal are a no go…but still nothing official..get you starters the minute we have them……again feel free to talk to me and Glenn during the broadcast..we will also talk about the posts on the air…

6:55PM….Tinsley, Dunleavey, Foster, Diogu, Granger,….arenas, stevenson, haywood, jamison, butler  are the starters…

Great Vlogs again by Domi.Nick and CB3.  Also, the two rookies are looking for a slogan for their Vlog, post them here and Dominick and Nick will choose the best one. 

9:25 AM…Dave Johnson here….All packed and set to go to Indiana….as always I feel like I am forgetting something–although I should be in good shape with my DVD of Kojak reruns for the flight..Looking forward to starting my second decade behind the mic..and looking forward to seeing this team have the kind of season it deserves. It is a team that works hard,  respects the fans, and is accountable. This is not a locker room that will allow less than 100%..Pecherov’s injury is a bummer because I think he exceeded expectations this past month–but it is not serious….This team is focused on having a good November…last season the first month of the season had an uphill feeling to it until we caught flight in December.  Don’t forget we will be blogging on the air tomorrow night…you can listen on the radio or on washingtonwizards.com and Glenn Consor will be with me and the game is on CSN —-On my way to practice and then the flight….I will check in tonight from Indy…

7:06PM….A big thanks to everyone who is jumping on board and posting…Just doing some prep work before going out to dinner here in Indy…Antonio Daniels said he was encouraged by the three practices before take off as the team worked on getting its offensive rythym.. DeShawn has been shooting the ball well in practice….Antonio was asked if Gil is 100%..he noted that he is guarding him in practice and doesn’t think he has lost a step..but Antonio was not saying he is 100% yet either… I think we will get a better indication after Gilbert gets battle tested in a few regular season games….again lots of reasons to be optimistic..Eddie Jordan said today–that next to Gilbert… Nick Young is the Wizards most creative scorer–but he was most impressed with his unselfish commitment to defense over the last couple of practices..I will check in again.. feel free to post

Hey Wizards fans…just a little update from practice today:

“Washington Wizards forward/center Oleksiy Pecherov sustained a right ankle sprain today (Sunday) during practice. X-rays were negative.”

Don’t forget…Dave and Glenn will be back on Wednesday as the team opens the 07-08 season on the road in Indiana. Get your questions ready…they will be blogcasting live!

I just wanted to inform all of you that have been blogging with Dave Johnson on a nightly basis (great stuff by the way!) that there will be no blog for tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors.  Dave will be back in action next Wednesday for the SEASON OPENER against the Indiana Pacers and we look forward to more riveting discussion with the start of the regular season.
