Interesting what you can surmise from what Jordan says. The “eight core guys” are obviously Arenas, Daniels, Stevenson, Butler, Jamison, Songaila, Haywood and Thomas.

Then he includes Mason when he talks about the “nine solid guys”. After that he adds that he’s looking for Blatche to improve. The three rookies are obviously not included in the eight or nine. It really sounds like he is higher on Mason than Blatche.

I look at Mason the same way I looked at Hayes – if he ever starts getting his shots to fall ……

It all sounds very very good. I really think the season depends on:
Whether the centers can get along with the coach and each other.
Whether Arenas continues to improve as a PG.
Whether the defense improves.
