haha, I wish I had some type of rss feed for it. I have been checking it pretty regularly this week. I had a feeling he was due for another post. He seems post one about every two weeks.

I agree stability is most important.. If Deshawn stays it gives us some stability at the SG and our most defensive minded player back in action.. He keeps himself in great shape and thats why he dosent get hurt often. I would take him back in a heartbeat, but I still think we'd survive without him. I just dont think it would be smart on managements part

True enough, that's the one issue w/o DS: who starts at the 2?

The problem I have is w/ the $$ not w/ DS. The Orlando deal he turned down last year ($10m/3yrs) strikes me as just about the right value. I don't see any likely impovement in DeShawn, he's a mature player, so why do we want to tie him up for 4 years? And why take him up to nearly $4m/year (on average)?

The player option, to me, is do different from a 4th year. I'd like the deal ok if the team held the 4th year option.

One more thing...

Without DeShawn, I have trouble coming up with the starting guard next to Gil. One option could be AD, but I really like the intensity he brings off the bench. I would rather leave him in that position. I do not think that Nick Young is starting marterial yet, expecially not with Gil. JCN...who knows? I was writing him in, and I do not know what.

With DeShawn, we keep our starting lineup intact and will have a sense of stability. I have always said that stability is the most important thing in basketball. The guys have to form the team bond, and play off each other.

Stay DeShawn....Please Stay!!!!

I must say, I have been going back and forth on this topic for the last week or so...ever since the JCN new broke. I have decided that keeping DeShawn is a good thing.

While JCN is a great player, I have never heard his name mentioned in a conversation about defense. Everyone keeps getting down on DeShawn because of his lack of shooting success in the playoffs. I think that is a bit unfair, because the teams two best players were shelved with injuries. As fans, we have to think of the team when they were at full strength, not the one we saw in the playoffs.

The fact of the matter is, you add guys like Nick Young, Dominic McGuire and Olecksiy Pecherov to the full strength cast from last year and you have to smile. Gilbert, Caron, Antawn and DeShawn make each other better. After all DeShawn did put up the best offensive numbers of his career and he was the best perimeter defender on the team.

I really hope that Ernie can get something good for JCN. I have a feeling he has a big deal in the works. Once Stevenson is signed, the deal will go down.

I heard a mention this morning of JCN and Etan to Memphis for Darko. Not sure if that will, or can, happen, but I do kinda like the idea.
