yeah i am watching now… it just came on CSN but so far it looks like the walking scared out there lol no one is really lose no one is for the team its more of i am going to show who i am thing going on i expect to see that change after they get in the NBA so all in all cant be mad at the stuff i have seen like Lil Gil said Visser played some nice D blocked some shots Pech was playing a funny (trying to hard) game but if he gets in a little time with a big man coach i can see him being a lot better and NY is just shattered in the light its hard to live up to peoples expectation when people set the bar so high and like Lil Gil tomorrow is going to be a telling game as far as the stats go!

I agree Dominic McGuire looked great. I can’t wait until tomorrow. I think it will be better tomorrow, they got the first game jitters out of the way.

I’ve been wanting to talk about Dominic for days – this kid is the real deal. He’s got a legit NBA body, is athletic and works hard. Great body control while he’s in the air. Call the cops folks – looks like Ernie might’ve gotten another 2nd round steal…

I’m calling it now. Dominic is going to be our own younger version of SHAWN MARION only with better handles.
I paid $5 bucks to get NBATV just to watch the wizards summer league games and it wasn’t a bad idea at all.
I’m a little worried about Pech’s shot. I mean that’s a pretty slow release and I’m slightly scared that he’ll be bothered easily by quick defenders that rotates to him faster than he can shoot it from the perimeter. It also seemed like he wants the rebound so that’s a plus although he didn’t actually grab that many. I believe Pech will loose minutes due to his defensive rotations but then again, it is the wizards and he probably will be just as good of rotation defender as half the team from last year.
Nick young has a smooth looking shot even if it didn’t go down. But I’ll be careful of commenting on good looking shots since Jarvis Hayes shots looked so pretty few years back and I thought he’d be a sure thing from 3 pt line. He seems like he can be a good defender in a few years but right now he’s looking for the steal more than playing solid D. One plus, Nick Young will run down the floor faster than anyone when he sees an opportunity.
All in all, I thought summer league can be as boring as basketball can get during the middle of 2nd quarter. I mean I know it’s the summer leagues but still…
PS
I want that justin williams guy on our team…

The games was pretty good. Like someone said it was just the first game. A few of the guys had the deer in the headlight look. PECH looks so different. The weight looks good on him. Hopefully Blatche will follow suit and add a few more pounds..
Mcguire was good. I’m surprised he went in the 2nd round and #47. Visser was pretty good too. Just what we need another big body..
Maybe we can finally solve that Center problem..
PS. I noticed EJ wouldn’t respond to the JCN questions. Keeping us all in suspense..

Even though reportedly Pecherov has bulked up, he still got pushed around too easily. McGuire looked good. I am waiting for Nick Young to bounce back.

I saw most of the 3d quarter, but that was all. McGuire is, as Eric says, “the real deal.” I liked how Hall looked as well.
Nick had *a lot* of trouble finishing. He drove into trouble, then neither his body nor his handle held up to get the ball to the rim. At the same time, his smoothness and feel for creating his own offense were both pretty evident. He is a player.
Pecherov looked like he needs to catch up to the speed of the NBA game; he played last year in Kiev in the Ukraine. Not quite the same level of talent. This is only the summer league, but he did well last Summer and I expect he’ll catch on this year too.
Aaron Miles is a solid player; he can be a 3d pg on an NBA team, maybe even a backup. He lacks size — but if he *had* size, he wouldn’t be trying to make a team in the summer!
Visser had a couple of nice moments while I was watching, but it’s way too early to tell what he brings.

It’s the first game and I expected them to have a hard time, especially with fransisco garcia, hawes and williams out there. This are guys who I expect to be the 6th, 7th and 8th man at the very least in sacs rotation. If you look at garcias numbers (he is going into his third season now) at the end of last season he was getting caron butler type numbers stuff like 19pts /6 rbs. plus those guys have had a chance to play with each other already and its day one for us. We will most likely have our hands full with detroit that has won two close games and has a wade like player in stuckey and afflalo was considered one of the best shooting guards in LA even with nick young there. The bars been set high with Belinelli smoothly killing people and stuckey beasting his way through so as far as shooting guards young has to show his value. He will be in the long run good value, alot of the shoots he attempted he could have just as easily made and they rimmed out alot. The summer league games are also very uptempo. I’m not surprised at Dmac because last year he had crazy rebounding and block numbers and had two triple doubles, his shot is also improving, pech I knew would have a hard time with a guy that weighs 260 which is 25 pounds heavier than he is. williams would push pech around for now but he wouldnt push a darko that easy cause he weighs 272 and is 7 foot. I want him if we cant get gasol. He’s already better than our C’s and better than kwame so he’s not going to be another kwame if thats what you’re thinking. Hopefully they’ll get used to the pace in vegas and it scares them enough to know what to expect during the season. As far as results summer league and exhibition is just to get used to things, we lost all five last year and even if we lose to sacramento in summer league, the rest of our squad will take care of the rest of theirs.
Other than detroit and sacramento the rest is going to be alot easier

I Thought Dmac played really good for his expectations he played solid D and most of all he didnt force anything he took what was given to him by being aggressive & playing within the offense I know he has somethin to prove by comming out so late but I like him

First of all as I said it before, I’m very impressed by D-Mc and I understand way better how EJ felt the other day!!! I’m a lil disapointed about NY not because of his stress but as the commentators (sorry guys can’t remember ya names…) said he wanted to get all flashy out there, way too much… It’s nice to get some dunks or crazy shots but you got to play well and make sure your team win, he was too much into proving everybody what and amazing player he is. I believe he’s great, I only expect him to get into a team mentality. Pech was stressed… all I can say ’bout him. Mike Hall shouted quite well, we had some good D by Visser, really good blocks. As a whole the team wasn’t really representative of the Wiz… Not so much of an Ofensive force, but I’m looking forward for tomorrow (actually already today for me) game to see the summer Wiz play better together! There still was some nice things, and for me D-Mc is right now the best guy, but the other still have to step up. Visser plays his role pretty well too
