Nara - most mock drafts have Belinelli going late first round/early second round.

Anyone know when they project Belinelli to go in the draft? That J off the curl will probably be the smoothest looking stroke even if he joined the wizards right now. Is he someone we might be able to grab with our 2nd round pick?

PS. I get weary of players who loose weight during contract years or draft years only to balloon up after signing their contract again so if I had a vote, I'd veto Davis.

Glen Davis has some odd mechanics on his jump shot that will *not* fly in the NBA. Otherwise, he looks smooth.

Belinelli looks *awesome.* Is he under some kind of buy-out? He looks like he can play right now.

Eric -- thanks for setting me straight on the numbers. Another thing I was thinking was that this draft being so deep, it's worth it to look carefully at a lot of guys. Although, to tell the truth, there are some names on the Wizards' work-out list that I've never seen anywhere else.

One guy that grades high among 3s is Dominic McGuire, and a lot of people have him projected to go in the 2d round. We're not working him out.

TM - I take it back. It looks like when all is said and done, we'll have taken a look at nearly as many people as last year.

I think this year, the workouts were geared towards looking at 4-5 people at a time. In previous seasons, sometimes two people would come in for a work out.

A good number of players have definitely stopped by DC over the past two weeks. But actually TM, most teams aren't looking at nearly as many players as in years past. In previous seasons, teams would start working out players in mid-May (assuming they weren't still in the playoffs). Now, with the rule in place that teams couldn't work out players til after June 6, teams probably didn't work out as many players as they did last Spring.

We are looking at *a lot* of players this year. I wonder whether the Wizards have a trade in mind that would bring in another pick. I could see trading Hayes's rights to Portland for someone (?) and a pick. But, I just made that up, so who knows what if anything is going to happen.
