STUDY: SLEEP HELPS ATHLETES

In a story published in ScienceDaily, it looks like “Athletes who get an extra amount of sleep are more likely to improve their performance in a game“.

On game days, I know for a fact that many of our players like to take naps. Looks like they were on to something. Now somebody go check with their boss to see if what works for Antawn Jamison & Co. will work for you!

Way off topic……………….I just read an article on a good trade that will help the wizards become a serious contender o0o0o0o0o0o the site is hoopsworld.com n.e. ways here it is………………………(Wizards may have the pieces to pry Jermaine away from the Pacers. Considering that Antawn Jamison is in the final year of his contract that will pay him nearly $16 million and can still be an effective scorer, he would help ease the transition for the Pacers if they decided to go that route. If the Wizards were to package Jamison, the 16th pick, and maybe even the rights to the much heralded Juan Carlos Navarro). this trade might work????

I don’t see the Pacers trading JO unless he calls for it. Otherwise, sure, the money factor works out.

Eric — are you a big JO fan?

Just to be a lil more on topic ;) Eric you first put “Arenas and Co.” and you then changed to “Antawn and Co.”, is that cuz you suddenly remembered that Gil sleeps 3 hours a night??

LOL – LilGil, I changed it more for the pic than anything else. But good point – Gil probably isn’t a big napper…

Nooo, I really want to know what you think of him! I don’t know what my take on him is. I mean, obviously, he is gifted — but is he really as good as people want him to be, if you know what I mean?

OT…if anyone happened to watch the game…i found it very hilarious when queen gave up the ball and sideshow bob tried to make a lay-up.

Oh, you think we’d be doing better against San Antonio?

having Jermain would be awesome but I don’t see it happening. I think pacers are listening to offers but not actively looking to trade their franchise player unless something drastic comes along.

FYI, I don’t know if we’d be doing better than San Antonio but I do know our hustle guys (Ruffin, Etan, etc) are smart enough not to do something as stupid as sideshow bob did

P.S. – kwame used to do stupid stuff like that all the time too. Big moment, the ball accidentally gets to him and he tries to do something he can’t do and the ball doesn’t even go near the basket. Yup sounds like kwame.

Haha good old Kwame. What I know about us doing better, is that this season wasn’t really great about Wiz-Spurs match up… Remember when Eddy got 2 techs… Anyway we WOULD do better than queen labron and his crew cuz we’re better that’s all.
(I read somewhere on the internet ,I don’t remember which site, someone saying that even with Gil and Caron at 100% we wouldn’t have had any chance against Cleveland, can you believe this?? I mean we’re fans we’re never gonna let our team down, but truely on that one I’m amazed…)

I am not saying that Cleveland was going full bore in the series against the Wiz, but I definitely think that with Gil and Caron healthy, the Wiz would have definitely beaten the Cavs.

I like the idea of Jermaine O’Neal. While the trade is totally believable, I am not sure the Pacers will do it either. If they committ to rebuild, they will be unlikely to build around Jermaine, but I think Larry would like to send JO West. We shall see.

If I start sleeping more will I become the athlete I was in my 20’s? And if I sleep even more will I become the athlete I wanted to be in my 20’s?
