NEXT STOP FOR KOBE…”PLUTO”?
I usually like to steer clear of what’s going on with other teams, but this one’s tough to ignore…
“At this point I’ll go play on Pluto.”
He said it, not me.
EDIT: TrueHoops reports that Kobe has told ESPN’s Greg Anthony that he may stay in LA (rather than head to what used to be a planet) as long as LA terminates the unknown Laker “insider”, who’s recent quotes in the LA Times infuriated Mamba. Another update….. It’s too bad there’s not another reference to a planet in it…

IMHO….
Kobe Bryant is, if not the best, one of the best, players in the NBA and is just 28 years old.
If any speculative deal is going to take place, keep in mind that the Wizards would probably have to give up one of our best players to do it….probably their best player.

His frustration is understandable. There’s a nice exclusive interview on KB24.com with Kobe and Dan Patrick. Ultimately though, as much as Kobe is a disgruntled superstar it just doesn’t seem likely that the Lakers will let their franchise player go. They’ll make the changes. Kobe is just being a Mamba and this is the warning sign. I don’t think he’s going to bite.

Bryant makes $17.7M. That’s Arenas at $11.9 and and Haywood at $5.0 for Bryant and a throw-in. But LA would never do it, and I’m not crazy about it either. That’s a lot of ego to make room for.

Get him to the East but not with the Wizards. We dont need a player who look for themself bot for the team. When LA is not a contender he dont want to stayed with them anymore. Now he is leaving. Haha what a Loser.

GILBERT ARENAS THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU!!!
Wussup?
This may seem like an impossible request. I know this may be irrelevant to the blog but it’s the only way I can be able to get through Gilbert Arenas and just maybe he will come across this. My boyfriend is an unbelievably huge fan of you. He knows every little thing about you (scary huh?) and he has your Gil Zeros thanks to me. Im quite jealous of the non-contact relationship he has with you actually……anyways, his name is Chong and I dont think you’ll remember but he use to be that asian kid who worked at the Safeway in your hometown and he says you autographed his shoes before and you use to stop by late at night to get food and would sneak up on him and scare him. He is so bummed he missed the opportunity to get an autograph jersey and shoes from your donation drive. He got wasted that night and blamed me for not waking him up. Anyways, I said I would at least TRY to ask you to come to his birthday party @ CIRCOLO in San Francisco this Saturday June 2nd @ 10:00pm. It is a total long shot but hey stop bye and make his dreams come true. He told me you just had a kid so you must be in the bay area. Try to come…I feel like such a dork for doing this. Oh yeah this is by no means a set-up or anything, bring security if you like. ![]()

I would like to see a trade between LA and NY:
Kobe and Radmanovic for Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford N Jared Jeffries
take a look:

edry i think that would be a good trade for the knicks but not so much for the lakers but you never know and i hope it gose down that way as well but mine is for personal reasons like the fact that JJ opted out and went to the knicks because the coach and then gets traded for kobe lol

Kobe is a jerk! There isn’t enough room in the Verizon Center for his ego. I like the atmosphere that our players have created (minus Haywood). I hate all the drama and I think that is what Kobe would bring to DC. I am a certified Laker Hater and I would not want to see any of the Laker players here especially Kobe! DC loves Gil and he has added a lot to the area. Leave that drama in LA Baby.

Sure. Let’s get Kobe. Then we’ll need to get rid of the rest of the team except Ruffin and Daniels. Then try to find 12 more guys that are so selfless they’re OK with everything revolving around one player.

Just do so Kobe, I won’t retain ya. I don’t hate him no mistake lol, just thinking that respect’s the key, I don’t see a lot of it out there with him.
