ANOTHER REASON TO LIKE TOUGH JUICE
As if you needed another reason to like Caron Butler, this could be the definitive reason.
About two weeks ago, Caron received an invitation left on his door to a party left by a neighborhood kid who was going to celebrate his 16th birthday on May 12. Butler took the invitation and placed it on his fridge.
Fast forward to May 12 - Caron was walking through the kitchen and saw the invitation and basically said “Well since I’m not doing anything today…”.
Imagine the look on the faces of the kids at this house when they realized the person ringing the door bell was Caron Butler. CB didn’t just stop by to say hi, he ended up hanging out for an hour with the kids. They even gave Gilbert a call upon a request by some of those gathered.
Keep an eye out on DC Sports Bog - this story will go into much fuller detail (I’m told by my sources - yes I have sources) sometime this weekend via D.Steinberg.

lol good one lil gil! that’s CB3 for you that’s the reason i like him to start with he is a strong guy who has a soft heart he is the guy who works hard to make it to the top but never forgets to look down and extend his hand to others on his way cant beat a guy who has seen the bottom and the top and every thing in between! he is kinda the reason i named my 1 1/2 year old son Camren

What a Wonderful Man to do something like that! For an hour of his time he gave that kid a memory that will be with him forever. How many Stars in any organized sport do you ever hear of doing something like that when a camera isn’t around? Ernie Grunfeld is a Genious. He is not just building a team, but, building a team of men with real character. Good Going Caron…. Very Very Nice of you!

I am so impressed and amazed at how Caron Butler is finding ways to become a better man on and off of the court. He is one of the greatest ballers because of his genuine character to put others before himself. He is one of the many, which are far and few that does not let the wealth and fame determine how great he is. Reaching out to others in every way possible is one of the attributes I have noticed Mr. Butler possesses. He will be admired and respected for time past and time to come. He has earned his way to the top, and provides to serve as role models for men, young and old alike. I sincerely hope that he will remain a positive force throught the NBA and continue to lead by example. This is alot, but you have to give credit to those who deserve it. Mr. Butler if you ever read this, know that you are great and you make an impact without having to speak.
To me you are great, and I’m your # 1 FAN! :-}
