WASHINGTON POST: ’06 2ND ROUND PICK FACES SUMMER HURDLES
Wednesday’s edition of the Washington Post has a story on the Wizards’ 2006 secound round pick Vladimir Veremeenko.
According to Ivan Carter, “Veremeenko’s contract with Khimki of the Russian Superleague has “several” years remaining according to his agent, Marc Cornstein, and the team may not clear him to play for the Wizards in summer league.”
Veremeenko, a 23 year-old 6-10 forward, was selected 48th overall last June.
