CONFIRMED: Pecherov to Play in Europe This Season

Ernie Grunfeld confirmed to members of the media that Wizards 2006 first round pick Oleksiy Pecherov will play next season in Europe.

Grunfeld, who along with Head Coach Eddie Jordan, met with the media on Tuesday, stated that “for now he’s staying in (Europe)”. Full Story…

    I hate the decision but I have to live with it! The developmental league would have been an option for playing time. We have two bigs that will definitely need to step up this year if they would like to contribute to the cause and thats Ramos and Booth.It will get interesting to see the rotation if either Haywood or Etan or both develop injuries!The Third Big Man who we can depend for extended minutes is??

    Ernie made a comment later about how the D-League is very guard oriented (it’s very up-and-down in terms of tempo and there’s very little play calling). His comments about Pech can be found in the second of two videos I should have posted soon.
