I don’t know much about Deshawn Stevenson, but if he can give us a strong defensive presence, some grit,a few points and rebounds in a team first atittude. He’s alright with me.I believe everything lies with how well Eddie Jordan uses his players.A good coach knows how to use what he has.I was a bit iffy about Eddie Jordan’s decision to not give Andray Blatche more time than he did last season. One more thing.. I still see Brenda Haywood as a backup at best. And i see Etan Thomas as Jahidi White with dreads. He’ll show you flashes here and there in every facet of the game. Points sometimes, defense sometimes, rebounds sometimes, but is oft injured, and seems to look lost on the court otherwise. If it’s not a dunk he doesn’t score, and has butter for hands and fingers when he gets the ball. If that one trait is not trademark of Wiz big men what is.Is there any angle that the Wiz could take to even marginally upgrade the center position.Theo Ratliff hasn’t been as productive over the past few years, but he is a presence in the paint defensively. More than Booth, Etan and Ruffin combined. How about moving any of the aforementioned for whatever makes sense. Maybe a off the radar point guard with experience, and assist potential. Anything! As long as it makes sense. I’m just tired of seeing players on the Wiz’s roster that in my opinion take up space, and nothing else. I know role players are important, but lets look to add role players that can and want to actually fulfill a role.

Adding and subtracting the right role players is more difficult that you would think. Making a move for the sake of making a move is one of the worst things a pro sports team can do to improve.

I dont know how you guys see it but i think that we are fine at center. I mean we have a nice center rotation with haywood, etan, and another with the puertoricean ramos he was looking good in the puertorican team.

I think this dude needs a haircut. I’m thinking of something like the new Chad Johnson cut. These dredlocks dont work.

Deshawn! Bring the fire! Keep it hot! Welcome to DC!!

Don’t worry about dude’s hair. I kind of like it myself. I finally got the chance to listen to his interview and I think he is going to be a great addition to the Wizards. I also like the fact that he seems to have a toughness like Caron and the Wizards could use a beast on defense. Welcome to DC Deshawn! Can’t wait to see you play!
